8 Give thanks to Yahweh; call on His name;

proclaim His deeds among the peoples.

9 Sing to Him; sing praise to Him;

tell about all His wonderful works!

10 Honor His holy name;

let the hearts of those who seek Yahweh rejoice.

11 Search for the Lord and for His strength;

seek His face always.

(1 Chronicles 16:8-11 HCSB)

1.  We are to tell other people about His great works and deeds.

2.  We are to sing our praises to Him.

3.  We are to seek Him, and when we do, our hearts will rejoice.

Lord, I call on Your name. I will tell of the great works you have done. You have done them not only for me, but so many people in this great world. I praise Your holy name. I sing praises to You, everyday--at home, in the car, at work... I search for You--I want to know You more. I want to be closer to You, a little closer each and every day. Amen.

Birthday 2014 - Turning 30

Well, it's finally here. The 30th birthday is right around the corner on Monday. I always thought I'd feel "old" by now, but honestly, I just feel like me. I'll probably always be a kid at heart and won't ever feel "old". I wonder if this is how some elderly people feel. A young spirit trapped in an aging body. When I'm 80, will I actually feel 80? Or will I feel 30, just with a few more wrinkles and sags here and there?

We are headed to Charlotte tomorrow, with the intention of hitting up IKEA and The Cheesecake Factory. I like to get out and do something the weekend before or after my birthday wiith my family, just as a little celebration and excuse to spend time with them. Can't wait to see what the weekend has in store!

Verse of the Day - Psalm 100

A Prayer of Thanksgiving

Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves; We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations. (Psalms 100:1-5 NASB)
